If the results of your otological (medical) and audiological (hearing) examinations reveal that you have a significant hearing loss and would benefit from a hearing aid, then our Audiologist will schedule a consultation with you to discuss your various hearing aid options which can be seen below:

Levels of Visibility:

Nearly Invisible:The only part of the Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) hearing aid that is visible to anyone looking very closely is a small plastic wire used to remove the hearing aid from the ear. CICs are appropriate for someone with mild to moderate hearing loss.
Slightly Visible:The micro Behind-the-Ear (microBTE) hearing aid is a very small device that is worn behind the ear. The open-fit versions have a clear tube that wraps behind the ear, which is only visible if you look closely. The device is easily camouflaged as it comes in a range of skin-tone and hair colors and can be covered with most hair styles. Micro BTE’s are appropriate for someone with mild to severe hearing loss.
Visible:The In-the-Ear (ITE) style fills the ear canal and is the easiest to handle and insert in the ear but the most visible of the hearing aids that fit within the ear canal. However, it is not as visible as some of the larger hearing aids that are worn Behind-the-Ear (BTE). ITEs are appropriate for someone with mild to severe hearing loss. BTEs are appropriate for someone with moderate to severe hearing loss.
